We first had the idea to turn the Co-pour into a book in January. Since then we’ve been writing, editing, designing, editing, designing, writing, and editing. And all the while, you folks have been keeping us going with feedback on posts, private messages about the messes you’ve had to clean up in your own organization, and encouragement.
The book comes out October 3rd, and you folks are some of the first to see it. It felt right to send it to you before the big push. We write about you in the intro, and how the book wouldn’t exist without your emails and comments. Thanks for that.
So here’s what happens next: books care a lot about the first month. If a book sells well in its first month it keeps going. If a book doesn’t sell well in its first month, it probably never will. But pre-orders count as first-day sales, so in the next month we hope to get everyone we know to pre-order a copy. If you’re thinking about buying the book for a friend, or as a holiday gift, or as a not-so-gentle nudge to your own manager, pre-ordering helps us a lot.
