If our math is right, then some time in the next month we’ll pass 2,500 followers on The Co-pour. The publication stats on Medium tell us about views and recommends and reading minutes but, for the two of us, followers is the most important. And if you’re reading this you are one of them.

We’re not sure why you follow. Some of you are friends and former co-workers and we’re grateful for your support. Many of you, though, are strangers who found us somehow. And stick around for some reason.
It’s been about 5 months since we started this project to share more of the stuff we learned the hard way. In those 5 months we’ve heard from many of you that you, too, see how often bad leadership can break things. You see the preventable mistakes coming, just like we do. You joined this thing and found that sometimes the posts cut just a bit too close. You tell us that some of the topics make you uncomfortable. And that some stay with you for weeks after reading them.
Our writing on the co-pour has garnered hundreds of thousands of views so far. That didn’t come from the two of us, we don’t have that kind of reach. That came from all of you.
We are now one of the top 20 Leadership publications on Medium. In the whole world. We’re #7 for Management. Gulp.
So okay, down to business:
- If there are things you want to see from us that you haven’t seen, let us know. editors@mfbt.ca is not an alias we make an effort to publicize to the world, but you folks can use it. That’s what it’s for.
- We’re exploring other ways to bring together people who care about humane, thoughtful leadership. That might include events, or content outside of medium posts. If you want in on that stuff as we work on it, we have a co-pour newsletter. We’d love it if you’d subscribe.
