When a coworker starts to cry, it’s natural to freak out. If you’re new to this, and it’s just happened for the first time and you manage this person (and they’re no longer in the room): go ahead.
We have all these hangups and stereotypes about what workplace tears mean. We have this idea that crying is weak, that there is no place for it in an office.
